Trench gun show & tell

My genuine 1897. It was originally a long barrel in rough shape. My brother professionally converted it into a trench gun.
My Uncle Rick in Vietnam with a scattergun. Marine Recon.

Added an accessory to my Model 12 today. A 25 round box of Winchester Western 00 Buck marked U.S. Property.
It's WW2 era, just like the gun. Paper shells, not brass. Great for display.

Grandpa gave me this a few years back, W97 I’ve always wanted it out of the small collection he had.
It was passed down to him, our family has hunted with it for generations.
I caught bits and pieces of the historical context of the firearm but the last few years I’ve really done a lot of reading and appreciate the hell outta this thing. Not something you see everyday, I’ve thought about converting it, but the 10 ft barrel is actually kind of cool.
