I only shoot 556, so just curious...is 7.62 ammo that much cheaper??

Its pretty darn cheap. Tula is around $5.12 per 20 at Wally World. They always seem to have it in stock too!!

I am an AK guy - always have been and always will be. But recently I started getting a little more into ARs, and I enjoy the AR for different reasons.

Life is too short not to enjoy a little variety.

Doesn't mean they can't all be filled with AKs

At my LGS's around newnan cheapest I see 223/556 is $10 a box(when it's in stock), Tula 7.62 can be found everywhere for $5-6 makes me very happy!

I bought a thousand rounds of non corrosive 7.62 last week and it was 230 bucks with shipping

I just keep a minium of 4 each,but the AK for sure is cheaper to shoot and short range energy is hard to beat.
