Tried ArR's twice..... Always go back to an AK!

I've done both a few times... AR15 all day for me. I actually rather dislike the AK. I guess it boils down to personal preference as much as anything else. Both work as they were designed to.

Almost half price. I have two ar. One is scoped. One w eotech. Ak is so much more fun to shoot free handed. Ar is better from the bench. I'm a bolt fan on the bench. Ak is better imo

I have tried the AR-15 game twice now. Both guns performed properly and never had any issues. I got both looking how I wanted them, and they were fun to shoot. The only thing I would say that the AR has over the AK is the mag system being easier, and a better accuracy.

I did not like how you have to clean an AR,

 I stopped reading right there. That sentence is nonsense and I assume the rest of your post is equally full of derp. You don't deserve an AR. Enjoy your commie rifle.

Read up on filthy 14. By the time the gun was pulled from service it was at around 50,000 rounds. The bull**** about an AR needing to be cleaned regularly is just that. Bull****. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?95136-BCM-Filthy-14/page3

I have both a Colt M4 Carbine and a Saiga AK47 -Russian Made.....The mag system and the accuracy and less recoil on the Colt is great. The AK, I have shot brass and a bunch of steel case ammo without cleaning or even putting lube...and the S.O.B. keeps on eating everything I feed it. The Colt I have to clean and lube.

I used to have both before my horrendous boating accident. They both hold a special place in my heart and both have their purposes!

You misunderstood my post. Now how often, but how it is cleaned.

I did not like how you have to clean an AR, how expensive 556 is (because you need brass due to some AR's being picky), or the round.

I was sighting in a scope on my AR, just shooting at a coke can to test it out. I put 4 rounds down range at about 30 ft, and the can did not move. I went to inspect, and there were 4 holes, in and out, moving fast enough to not cause the can to move. When you do this with an AK, that mother****er explodes!

I am stuck, I am an AK man, and I am happy with it! 7.62 for the win.

Congratulations. That mother****er explodes sure sounds like the end all be all. You found something you like stick with it. Plenty of people enjoy both platforms for various reasons. Both have their pros and cons it just sounds like the one that checked your boxes was the AK.
