Tried ArR's twice..... Always go back to an AK!

I of course like the Ak platform better but there is nothing wrong with the Ar-15. I just had to pick either 5.56 or 7.62x39. I of course chose the 7.62x39. A bit cheaper to shoot than the .223/5.56. The ar-15 has too many small parts for me. That's the only thing I don't like about it.
It's definitely nice to be able to shoot "30 cal" cheaper than 5.56

I have tried the AR-15 game twice now. Both guns performed properly and never had any issues. I got both looking how I wanted them, and they were fun to shoot. The only thing I would say that the AR has over the AK is the mag system being easier, and a better accuracy.

I did not like how you have to clean an AR, how expensive 556 is (because you need brass due to some AR's being picky), or the round.

I was sighting in a scope on my AR, just shooting at a coke can to test it out. I put 4 rounds down range at about 30 ft, and the can did not move. I went to inspect, and there were 4 holes, in and out, moving fast enough to not cause the can to move. When you do this with an AK, that mother****er explodes!

I am stuck, I am an AK man, and I am happy with it! 7.62 for the win.

Commie.

AR's are 'Merica's rifle.

Just kidding, all good points...

Tula works fine in my ar, and it's only a dollar more a box? I could only get it to malfunction after shooting 6 mags as fast as I could pull the trigger.

That's only 180 rounds though...... I expect my rifles not to fail until I am beyond 750 rounds without cleaning or oiling and most make out past 10000 rounds.

It's not a whole lot cheaper with Tula and steel case but every little bit helps. Plus an Ak is easier to clean. Nothing worse than cleaning an ar-15 that has had 500 rounds of Tula down it.

Yeah but with an AK ya gotta add a can of Pledge to your cleaning kit. ;)
