I am not a pistol guy, but I do know this trigger sucks! Help!
It’s new and unfired, but I’m gonna change the trigger before I ever get started. What are the recommendations? Thanks oh great Odt world

There's a few of us on here that run a Glock Performance Trigger that starts as a factory piece and then has a bunch of work done to it. Part of the $300 price tag is that it gets tuned to your handgun once installed as well.

Might be a little overkill (ha) for what you're looking for, but by far the best Glock trigger around.

If you ever come to 285/85 area you can try one certainly.

So are you saying that the mediocre trigger that is in this thing can be turned into a better fit?

Only problem with the GPT recommendation is that there is not a GPT for the large-frame Glocks.

IMHO, the best drop-in trigger for the large-frame is the Timney Alpha. It CAN be tuned to be extremely nice, but it drops in as a pretty danged good trigger.

I did the cheap .25 cent trigger job with a little mother’s metal polish and Qtips on a G19 that cleaned it up pretty good. I personally am not a fan of the 3.5lb connectors and like the predictive break on the well used factory triggers.
I use a 5.5lb trigger bar for this reason and polish the **** out of it with a qtip/dremel. It's slightly heavier but the break is clean enough that you wont notice it as much.
