Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert and popular political prognosticator, floated a theory of “mutually assured destruction” on Sunday morning: if prosecutors pursue President Donald Trump, he will make sure that Hillary Clinton and her allies go to jail.
Adams said that his theory explained why Trump had retained Jeff Sessions as Attorney General, even while attacking him for failing to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton, as well as members of the “deep state” who had conspired to spy on the Trump campaign.
The goal, he said, was to make sure prosecutors understood there was a “red line” they could not cross — because doing so would trigger Sessions’s replacement with a prosecutor who would take down Trump’s enemies:

Scott Adams is kind of interesting. He's one of the few public people who predicted Trump's win right from the beginning and he was about 90% spot-on during the whole election in predicting his actions and their results. Not that he's a Trump fan, he's more a typical Liberal, but he doesn't seem to let that alter his grasp on how politics works.

This is exactly the kind of thing Trump would be thinking according to Adams, and as mentioned, he's proven he can read Trump pretty well.

President Trump has set up the bad guys to fail. He has all their transgressions documented that they were committing after he took office and for good reason.

Sessions is a good guy. Check his past. He has always been a good guy and why Potus has him where he is.

I'm at the point of believing nothing will happen to the clintons, its been to long, trump is quite about it most of the time till the media brings the super criminal couple up.

The thing to remember is that the Clintons have been part of the political power structure for almost 50 years now. A true investigation would certainly land them in jail, but it would also take down dozens of other politicians, media types and the rest of the hangers-on. I don;t think Sessions wants that kind of political bloodletting on his hands.
