I have a Colt 38 Special Officer Model Match that I got 25 years ago when wife's step-father passed away in upstate NY. The serial number is 923612. I think I want to sell but trying to determine value. Any help out there. When I entered SN# in Colt database it said it could be one of four:

Year of Manufacture
1943
MODEL 1911A1 MILITARY

Year of Manufacture
1964
Model: POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL & DETECTIVE SPECIAL

Year of Manufacture
1966
Model: POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL & DETECTIVE SPECIAL

Year of Manufacture
1968
Model:OFFICIAL POLICE MODEL

The Official Police has a bigger frame than the Police Positive. I think you have an Official Police....most of the police positives I’ve seen have shorter barrels. I am certainly not an expert! Not sure of the value, but a wild stab might be $5-600.

Thanks. Any information is helpful for me to get educated.
