TulAmmo, I hated it. Now I use it. Have you tried the handgun ammo?

Holy thread resurrection
No kidding! I have since switched over to mainly tula 9mm. In my machine guns ive found it to be the most consistent and is a lot hotter than most brass loadings. My machine guns can be hit or miss with all sorts of brass cased ammo. Both my sten and uzi run 100% on tula 9mm. Same with my pending mac-10 machine gun. Why? No idea. I have fired thousands of rounds in full auto with tula without a single issue.

Yep....BUT, I ran 100 rds of it thru my CZ Rami on Saturday with no issues. Cheap? Yep? Goes bang? Yep.

Its always ran fine for me.
Interesting you say that about the 9 though. I feel like Tula 45acp is weaker than typical brass loadings.

our sten will NOT run aluminum case at all. It mangles the case every time.

Strange. I get mangled cases from Magtech, PMC and some other brass cased ammo. I have had ZERO issues out of tula in all 3 of the machine guns. The sten loves tula along with the uzi. Never a single mangled case or ammo related issue to date.

i meant that tula and brass case run fine in the sten, but federal and some other aluminum cased crap i found wouldnt run at all. It would shred the case when stripping it from the magazine.

looser chambers steel case doesn't expand as much as brass..same and opposite effect in AR platform..IMHO!(disclaimer) your mileage may vary..

It's about as dirty as Winchester white box IMO. Much stinkier smell though. Most of the Tula that I shoot is .380, .223, or 7.62x39. With respect to the .223 stuff, I have found that it's not bad for just plinking. I have about 1000 rounds through a $350 beater AR and it just keeps chugging along without any issues. With the way the market is now, there isn't much of a reason NOT to buy brass case ammo. With the pistol ammo, I just spend a couple cents per round more and just get Federal. I have had really bad luck with the Perfecta 9mm though - out of 1000 rounds, I have had 7 or 8 duds. I haven't really run into that issue with other brands of ammo.
