Turkey Hunting on Ft. Benning

I am fairly new to the area and have never hunted turkey before. I have had some success hog hunting on Ft. Benning but was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for Turkey. Is it worth my time or is hunting better at Hannahatchee WMA? Is the Georgia or Alabama side better? What are the best places to look for them or call them into, as in hardwood bottoms or small open fields?

Welcome to the trader! I hunt both sides with good results, just depends if they cooperate.

Do you usually have someone with you so one can call them in while the other shoots? Or do you call them in yourself?

I usually call and somebody else choots em. Gonna try to get the wife one this year. I got 2 last season, 20 & 25 Mar. Do you work on post, active duty?
