Well we are moving, leaving our beautiful home on the water, so looking at the last views from our verandah. It has been a wonderful base for out sailing adventures along the Great Barrier Reef but old age and health have caught up with us. Sadly we are out in the country so no transport other than our car, shops are half an hour away and specialist doctors are four hours down the road so when we get too old to drive we are in trouble. So we have to move. We have found a beautiful home in a semi rural area at the foot of the ranges, it has a small village for all our needs but only 15 minutes to the large department stores, which I shall try to avoid going to but women and shopping are an irresistible force. Also it’s only one hour on the train to the big smoke so going to big sporting events and cultural pursuits are easy. We have many friends in the area so we have and instant social group, all degenerates who don’t mind a drink like us, so it will be fun. Removalists start in a couple of hours so I better get going.
Oh! The two oars. There is an old saying that when a sailor leaves the sea he should pick up two oars and start walking inland, when someone says to him “What are those” he has found somewhere to settle down.

Dingo, I'm sure it hurts to leave. Ultimately, what matters is you are with the ones you love.

Good luck with the move.
