On the north side of town today with time to spare thought I would browse Adventure Outdoors. Ran across a Ruger PC9 on sale - I'll take it - spur of the moment purchase.
Completed the paperwork, at the register to pay. Was asked how I would be paying - debit card - was told there was an additional 3% added for card purchases. I was shocked, never expected that at a major retailer. I wasn't going to pay that.
Cashier stated I signed a customer statement agreeing to the charge, he also stated I could use the ATM machine in the store to withdraw the cash if I wanted to avoid the 3% charge.
I walked out without the purchase, half angry half in a daze. Now I realize that I have several questions I should have asked; however, can someone tell me if that is Adventure Outdoors policy for card purchases?
