Stephan reports the first anti-2A group has filed their amicus in the 3rd Circuit this past week. The Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence filed this (tl:dr - machineguns are scary)

And the firearm in question is a PSA AR:
ONE (1) PALMETTO STATE ARMORY PA-15 MACHINEGUN

RECEIVER/FRAME UNKNOWN CALIBER, SERIAL NUMBER

LW001804; WATSON FAMILY GUN TRUST,

http://media.wix.com/ugd/c601ae_8e4d4bb0dcc54cbb9d22f78dc4579f4e.pdf

Dates pending for April to argue the case.

Argument #1:

THE SECOND AMENDMENT DOES NOT
PROTECT AN INDIVIDUAL RIGHT TO
POSSESS A MACHINE GUN

It did before that right was taken from us with the enactment of the 1934 NFA-the first federal firearm restrictions. Enacted due to the worst crime wave the nation ever experienced from the prohibition act that was repealed fall of 1933. The 1986 FOPA banned new manufacture.

Argument #2

The Second Amendment Grants Only a
Limited Individual Right

Where in the in the constitution is this restriction made. The minutes of the meetings that created the constitution, the federalist papers, where do the founders make claim to restrict the right to not be infringed?

Argument #3 (redundant of #1)

Possessing a Machine Gun Does Not Fall

within the Scope of the Second Amendment

Is it suitable for a common soldier or militia member to possess, train, and muster with? I absolutely think so. No commander at Lexington or Concord would have turned away the man who reported with an M-16 as it was too scary and deadly for combat/war.

Argument #4

Machine Guns Are “Dangerous and
Unusual” Weapons

So unusual that every common foot soldier is issued them. Excuse me it's a GD firearm and you ****ing idiot all guns are dangerous!

These idiots reference Michael A. Bellesiles, Firearms Regulation: A Historical Overview, 28 Crime & Just. 137 (2001).

For those unaware this Georgia Emory University anti-gun fool resigned, lost his tenure, awards and honors.

But he is trying to make a comeback.... Maybe he can create some more anti-gun "research" for the liberals to wet themselves over.
