UPDATE Thinking about buying a used boat.

I want to make sure it's in good shape and am looking for a trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic I can take it to before the purchase to have it evaluated.

Make sure you get enough moter.end of summer,fall keep a eye on Craigslist and boat for sale page on Facebook.i think on a used boat you can tell a lot about it on appearance.i would stay away from saltwater cities.i would definitely take to machanic or spend a day on the water.

Don’t forget to inspect the trailer also

Could be rusted underneath and you’d never know it till it breaks in half

I have owned more than my share of boats and I gotta say I have not been happier than I am right now boatless.

I know what you are going through though brother. It is an itch you gotta scratch.

Word of advice. NEVER BUY A USED BOAT.
