Looking to Bobtail my new to me kimber pro carry series 1. It's an aluminum frame. The finish is a Robar finish slide and frame. I'm looking to Bob it and change the controls to all polished as Well

I use the Ed Brown Jig, works great. Hardest part is drilling that first hole!! all down hill from there. Go slow and sneak up on the final cut on the frame, don't want to take off more than you need too. With an aluminum frame, I use a Fusion aluminum mainspring housing. They are the same as Ed Brown but less $$. Don't forget you need officers internals for the mainspring housing.

EDIT: missed the post where you showed the Mainspring housing you want.

How long did it take start to finish. I'm seriously about to just order all the stuff and some sights. I can do it myself just looking for a little advice. I don't want to to screw it up. All the controls I can take care of
