It was like that even in the early 2000's. I couldn't get a job there unless I knew someone.I was just remembering back in the late '70s when I got out of the Army, couldn't get a job with UPS unless someone died or you knew someone.

I am talking about UPS. I had a better chance of getting on with USPS because of veteran status. Didn't want to have to move to where they needed someone so never tried.I think a couple of y'all are confusing UPS with the USPS! United Parcel Service is not run by the government, for that matter neither is the United States Postal Service.
If y'all are referring to "knowing someone" at the Post Office, I am retired from the USPS and I didn't know a soul there when I got the job.
I was wondering the same thingI am just trying to understand how a 22 year old gets to be a supervisor at UPS.
He passed the first most important part on the application: "Can you fog a mirror?"I am just trying to understand how a 22 year old gets to be a supervisor at UPS.
comes to work on time and gets the position then they play hell firing the POSI am just trying to understand how a 22 year old gets to be a supervisor at UPS.
