Just looked at the line up, 10 of the judges were appointed by obamma or clinton. Seems a majority of them attended law school at University of VA. It is so important that Trump undo the evils of obamma's appointments to the courts in the next 4 years.

Does this then nullify United States v. Miller? Can we own anything now? Not suitable for military AND only suitable for military are both unprotected? WTF?

It leaves in place MD's ban on "assault or military" rifles. They get to decide. Be glad you live in the south. The will hit the big court, let us hope it's overturned.

Remember the musket WAS the advanced weapon of its day. In the days of knights and swords. It was a rare thing to be killed by a sword. Far more likely to be killed by a warrior with a farm implement, like a sharpened stick. The comedian Gallagher's sledge-omatic, would be considered a was hammer back in the day. A farm implement for pounding in fence posts.

Citizens were donating their own cannons and warships to all of the early war efforts in the United States. Imagine today if, say, Bill Gates owned ICBM's and allowed the US government to use them during times of war. People would be outraged, but just a few hundred years ago that was the norm. Even in the 20th Century, private planes were fitted with WWI surplus munitions to bomb miners at Blair Mountain. Or during WW2, private citizens donated shotguns to the war efforts here and in the UK.

Just crazy! These judges have a personel hate for guns and the 2nd, they use that to guide their decision not the constittion and laws like they should. Just insane, the musket and weapons of the day when the 2nd was written were "weapons of war" as they were all they had. The foundes made no distinctions that guns be excluded for that fact

A baseball bat, shovel, hammer, tire iron, pair of scissors, steak knife, chair, bar stool, pool cue, beer bottle, axe, machete, frying pan, basically anything I can get my hands on can be used as a weapon to assault someone.
