Correct, he wore an early model 5512 Sub and often commented on them in the wild as well. Here's my 1968 5513..
Love this thread! The Breitling was a birthday gift to myself when I turned 40 this year.
I swear, after my next deployment I'm getting a Breitling. I love my Tag Heuer's but I have been eyeballing them for so long its not funny.
Funny thing is, the one I bought wasn't even a consideration...until I saw it and tried it on in person. Internet pics just didn't do it justice until I had it on my wrist.
I bought my Tag Heuer date/time this year. Same thing I put it on and I was $4.9k less in the bank................I couldn't help it I love it! I changed the band on it but, I like the new band better.
That Tag is absolutely beautiful! I can't tell you how many of those I looked at and tried on also. If I am able to spring for another one, it may be one like that. Fantastic details and looks for sure. You definitely picked the right band for that watch!
