I saw a T-33 training jet in a park in Mobile, AL the other day.
I didn't get any good pics of it, but here's a pic of another like it, back in its heyday of the 1950s.
It was a really nice looking aircraft. Classic straight wing lines, proportioned right.
The extra wingtip tanks made it look faster and more dangerous to the enemy, I think, even though they slowed the thing down and limited its G-rating for sudden maneuvers.
