Use of a filler with Win296 / H110

I use unique or 2400 for a less than max load with my 240's. Using regular large pistol primers.

On my 300's. 19gr of H110 and magnum large primers.

Thanks everyone. My first attempt with Win296 was a couple of years ago, loading a dozen 357 mag rounds right in the middle of the published range. It resulted in pierced primers in my Rossi m92. So I put the Win296 back on the shelf and have used AA#9 ever since.

+ however many on H110/296 being full house load powder. I wouldn't download it lower than the books recommend (and most say don't do it).

if you want lighter loads there are plenty of other powders to do that with on the 44 mag. I use a lot of AA #7 that I had leftover from a while ago. 240gr lead bullets and a decent dose of #7 and I get a good fun plinking load that's cheap and fun to shoot. there are lots of powders that are good for the 44, but I saw 110 for my JHP hot loads. Plus I don't have to even look at the box, if it's got 110 in it, it's hot. :)
