Should have changed out the valve before charging the system...they're cheap

My professional system. You had both lines hooked up. It charged thru the low side.
How long was it vacuumed down.

schrader valves(both)were new,he did that just as a routine before he charges empty system.the a/c cooled but did not get very cold at the vent that lasted about 2 days.no i have not checked to see if there is any freon in the system,did not want to vent any freon out if there was any left.

maybe i am confusing the high side with the low side,does the high side have the larger schrader valve

Yes, it can and does often.

You should vacuum for an hour then check if it holds a vacuum. If not it has a leak

Yes you can have a blockage. Usually in the orifice tube or expansion valve but that would not keep system from charging on either side. Two separate problems there.
