I have had a good season, took 2 Bucks & 6 Does and I have room for 2 more
I'm overloaded with Does and decided this year some need to go in the freezer
Venison doesn't last long at my house
we have already eaten 4 hind quarters, 1 backstrap and 1 shoulder
found a fantastic recipe for the shoulders (see next POST), I no longer shoot through the shoulders, the Deer are now trained for a double lung broadside pass through

At a young age our Dad would not let us shoot in the shoulder or body mass at all. He liked heart and Liver. So we had no choice. neck shot. Been doing that to this day unless oportunity does not allow. They no run far either,and i`m getting too old to drag very far.
