Veteran - Presumptive Claims

300Whisper,

Military service was one of the best experiences in my life. The early out was also one of the best decisions I ever made as well.

In 2013 the us congress decided to change the rules with regard to early out and “F’d me.
I am in the same boat as OP - basically walking dead. I am a Gulf War Veteran(OG) - my CNS is shot due to chemical weapon exposure. I have the paperwork from Mayo Clinic to prove it. I am currently at 70% rating - with a lawyer working on the final 30% - Had one of my shipmates die 5/20 from the same ****. An acquaintance I made who was an Army Blackhawk guy operating in the same time and places died a “mysterious” death two years ago. Whatever the VA tells you is a lie. I didn’t fall on the field of battle but I ****ing died there.

**** this country and all of there ****ing globalist wars.

ODT
Any vets have success making a claim for presumptive disability.
Particularly the exposure (long term 10+ years) to:
JP-5 - exposure to exhaust and fuel (on your skin, in the drinking water, water used to wash clothing and food you ate).
AFFF - a minimum of at least once a year for @ 10 years.
Jet RADAR coolant- @ 10 years.

I am interested in any resulting immune disorders that they may have covered.

I am not a Vietnam or Desert Storm/Shield or Afghan Veteran.

I am honorably discharged. At this time I have a 0 disability rating. The VA advises I make to much money to qualify for any help. The VA advised I need to divorce my wife, sell my home, move into a card board box under an overpass and then they could possible help.
Ive never been asked by the VA how much i make. So dont know whats going on there. What you make civilian has nothing to do with VA compensation.

If you have a disability rating then it doesn't. If you just go to VA for "health care" and you don't have a disability over 50% then you used to have to fill out a form that discloses income. Under 50% they would pay for service connected issues and you had to pay a copay for anything else. Over 50% you don't pay for anything. That may have changed recently, I don't know because it no longer effects me.

Ahh, gotcha. That must be it. Thanks

I have been out for @ 32 years. This immune issue showed up @ 2 years ago initially effecting my upper body muscles. Than my eyes. Then my leg muscles.

I have 4 doctors, who have diagnosed me with this disorder are aware of possible causation (long term exposure) but will not give that as the reason for the illness. All 4 doctors have rated me with a permanent disability from the disorder.
If you got out 32 years ago would that put you getting out in 1992? If that is the case you are actually classified as a Gulf War Veteran.

From the link:
"This means that anyone who served on active duty from August 2, 1990, to present is considered a Gulf War Veteran"
