my wife is a visiting nurse, and the company she works for is looking for veterans to spend some time with other veterans in nursing homes and home bound veterans. I'm no spring Chicken my self (70's & 100% disabled vet LOL) but until he died of cancer, my neighbor was a Korean War Vet, I picked him up every morning to get him out of his house to get a cup of coffee. We'd talk, then maybe a short ride around the county, just to get him out. Sitting at home all the time can be depressing. It cheered him up. He's gone now, I really miss the old Guy. I don't have a mentor to do the same for me, but I get out every day. Death comes to all of us sooner or later, but I'm not going to sit home and wait for the SOB..
