Virus attacks

I got some nasty crap on my computer from here on Saturday, after 3 hours of screwing around with the computer I was able to get all the stuff off. My computer told me that java needed to be updated when I went to a new page on here and when I did it everything went haywire. I'm just glad it didn't fry everything. I now have the Norton 360 and I hope that will help protect me.

Not sure if this should go under virus or phishing, but I just now received the pop up update your java window. had to completely close my browser window for it to let me off the page without that " Are you sure you want to leave?" message.

I have been getting the same thing for the past two days also.

That what keeps happening to me, it has happened 3 times tonight!
