Walmart ammo availability thread - Post what you see available & where!

You guys have to consider that walmart doesn't update the "find in store" option. It's updated every couple days or so. If it shows "in stock" and was updated 2 minutes ago, more than likely its in stock and if the stores says its not, they are lying. If it shows "in stock" 3 days ago? More than likely its not there anymore. You guys have to pay attention to when the status check was updated. It clearly shows on the site!

this has already been discussed. the updated time is not associated with the stock status.

I checked the Johnson Ferry Walmart within 30 minutes of his post hoping to find some of the 223 100 packs that they were rumored to have in stock. Pretty funny...there were two college-looking kids walking into the store ahead of me (jeans, ball cap, North Face jacket, etc) and I thought they must have been after the same thing. Made it easy for me to find the sporting goods section because I just followed them. Like all other stores I've been to, they just had hunting rifle ammo and shotgun shells.

I also stopped by the store at the corner of 41 and Terrell Mill around 10 am and they had some of the 9mm Remington 250 packs in. An older lady was purchasing a few and I passed on it...heard the associate say someone had just put it in the case. I'm looking for 40 S&W and 223 if anyone sees any. Funny how scarcity almost influenced me to buy the 9MM even thought I hardly ever shoot it.

Every wally associate I talk to says that I should be there by 7am because they stock it overnight. A few posts im reading here shows it could be stocked after 9am or later when they put it on the shelves, it is really a hit or miss on when ammo will be restocked in the shelves.

Apparently this is completely up to the store. I have seen stock as early as 8pm-10pm, after 10pm(which stinks, because most won't sell it at that time), or in the morning around 7am. There are 4 that I frequent and all of them differ in the times they put it out. Oh, and the Walmart employees tend to be notoriously unreliable. For a variety of reasons. They don't care, they don't know ammo, they intentionally misdirect because they are saving it for friends or themselves, they are power tripping, they just don't have an idea, but want to seem like they do. Pick one.
