Walmart Banned for life. (merged threads)

I can't wait for one of their managers to **** up and follow me to my car. They're gonna need to check the instant replay video just like Monday Night Football.

It'll never happen. Just like Home Depot, there is a zero, and I mean zero, theft confrontational policy. You can walk through the front door of Home Depot with a $700 water heater on your cart without paying, and NO ONE will stop you. It is their stupid policy. Years ago, I was PT security at a Sears in NYC. This job kept us on our toes and boy, did we get the merchandise back!

Meanwhile on walmart.com....

Walmart has no legal requirement to post anything because they cannot make laws. A speed limit sign is posted by the government and comes under government law.

Sign or no sign, all Walmart can do is tell someone to leave. Only if that person refuses is there a law involved and that is criminal trespass. No sign posted by them can make it illegal to carry a weapon in their stores.
This is true for the state of Georgia. Walmart is a nationwide company and as such, it is different for them in other states such as, say, Tennessee. In Tennessee, signs carry the weight of law. Get caught packing in the Aquarium in Chattanooga and trespassing will be what you wish you got charged with.

All I want to know is, when will the line between OC and CC be blurred? Will printing get you banned in WM? What about OWB holster but an un-tucked shirt? I think we will begin to see some of the nuance in this soon as other gun owners in America will test out the limits.

Oh how the times have changed. When I worked at Kmart in 87 we all had employee numbers. That's how they would page us on the intercom system. But there was one employee number that didn't belong to anyone. It was a sort of red alert code that meant all male employees head to the front to chase and apprehend shoplifters. That used to be a lot of fun.
So these days if all the big retailers are scared to death of lawsuits then again I say that's THEIR problem.

I'm probably gonna get banned from the Perry Walmart soon but not because of open carry. Every time I go in there I go to the self checkout since that's the only thing open. Then the greeter girl wants to see my receipt and I tell her she can't see my receipt. So then she goes in and on about it's her job and she will have to call a manager . All the while I'm heading out the door telling her to get a better job and call whoever she wants. Just last Sunday I told her I'd be loading my PAID FOR **** in a white Kia Soul and IF a manager showed up we could discuss customer harassment.
I know why she wants to scan my receipt. Once she scans it I can't come back in and take the same stuff again and head for the door. But that's Wal-Mart's problem. NOT mine. I don't have to be badgered and inconvenienced because of their shrinkage problems.
Matter of fact I think I'll go by there again tomorrow on my way home and see if I can get me a case out of it. Maybe they'll even call the bull**** Perry PD for backup. Gotta be a settlement for me in there somewhere.
Oof. I'm with you until you belittle an employee just trying to do her job. No reason to act like that. That's precisely what Walmart hired her for, and to talk down to her like that speaks volumes about the type of person you are.

I just say no thanks and keep walking. I just ignore anything they say after that.

Yeah I choose to shop there, but once I give them money for the items then they're my property same as the receipt and shirt on my back. I'm never a dick to the receipt checking robot I politely say no thanks and keep walking.
And that's exactly how to handle it. Folks bragging about how poorly they treat the employees just doing their job kind of suck. Telling people to get a better job is just pure asshole behavior.

I didn't insult her. I just told her to get another job. I never hurl insults at anyone that isnt deliberately provoking me. In fact 8 feel bad for this one specific girl because shes definitely in the wrong position. Shes too young attractive and nice to deal with some of what Walmart has to offer.
