Want to learn how to ride a motorcycle

Any tips , advice, general knowledge I should be aware of.

Get something you can afford to drop. If you're confident in your learning and are familiar with driving a manual transmission go grab a 300/400 sport bike or 600/750 cruiser and take the MSF course. If you feel like you have a lot to learn grab a dirt bike and go learn the basics of clutch and brake control.

Harley Davidson Motorcycle Class. My wife went through it and stated how it was a great course. Also don't go and buy an expensive bike or new bike first. You will drop it. Plenty of used learner bikes on Craigslist. Learn to ride and get experience. Then go buy your new bike or bigger bike. Resale your learner and get most of your money back.

Find and go to a MSF Safety course even before you buy a bike. https://www.msf-usa.org/

Secondly, adopt the mindset to always ride as if you're 100% invisible to everyone. You will learn to anticipate what people will do in traffic before they do it.

Depending on what kind of bike, attending a track day in novice class will improve your riding skills more in one day than any other thing.

And ENJOY! Nothing better!

This. Because you're going to drop it. Don't be the cool guy either, wear the damn safety gear.
