I dug an old Weatherby Premier 3x9x40 scope out of my safe which hasn’t been on a rifle in 30+ yrs. My problem is my eyesight has changed over the years and I can’t remember how to unlock the focus adjustment. Any help is greatly appreciated !

Cmshoot, thank you for the response. I have been able to move it probably 1/4”, but I’ll keep working on it. I bought a Ruger 10/22 for grandkids and although this scope is a little over kill for 22LR it wasn't doing any good laying in the safe so i thought i would put it the 10/22 & save some $$.

Why not put it in the freezer overnight that'd slightly shrink the metal and the connection between the lock ring and adjustment ring.I'd try some gentle heat.
Some penetrating oil wouldn't be bad to use, but I'd use it sparingly. I'd be worried about it penetrating the seals and getting inside the optic.
