Wedding ring insurance

I recently got engaged and would like to know if any of you have dealt with getting insurance specifically on a single ring.
I'm taking the set to be appraised tomorrow morning.
The only info I have at the moment is the company that the jewelry store gave me, and USAA told me it should be covered under renters/homeowners insurance.

My wifes is covered under our homeowners insurance.

It was not feasible to insure a $200 ring.
Hell my wedding cost was half that! Marriage is expensive!!

My wifes engagement ring is insured in addition to our homeowners policy with state farm. I looked into the jewelry insurance company that the jewelry store offered but they were twice the premium of SF for the same coverage. They also did not have a local office like SF which is a big deal when trying to replace something like jewelry.

USAA is correct, it is covered. My wife lost hers will doing the dishes and USAA covered it.

If I lose my wedding ring I better take cover ..my wife can shoot ....if that rings gone my finger better be with it.....

Shane's has some coverage as part of the purchase price. Best place to buy a wedding ring.

I looked at buying from them but their set was significantly more expensive than the comparable set I ended up buying from a local jewelry store

They were the best when I bought mine. The free lifetime service is unbeatable and we have used it several times in the last few years.
