Is the question at hand, that if you have this muzzle device that someone will assume there is a suppressor involved?

Wouldn't imagine that's enough to make a search warrant! Don't get caught with anything that would slip on it, that is not currently registered!

Of course, just wanted to make sure. I thought he had a good idea to quickly try different breaks and what not, just as long as that’s all your doing. Just seemed too close to comfort to me and wanted everyone’s opinion

You are correct, and yet I just HAD to know why someone would think that changing out muzzle brakes would be considered a "gray area" when they are perfectly legal, sold everywhere and not regulated. I have my answer, thanks.
