Well fellas, my days in Ga are numbered... I'm moving to Alaska!

Don't you get paid by the gub'ment to live there? More gun stash $ for you.

Congrats. You'll be missed!
Yeah that's true, but the money has been decreasing in recent years. I'll miss out on the frist year as you have to be a resident for 365 days to qualify... Wife already has plans for her 'go back to he lower 48 money' anyway...

I'm jealous brother, have and post up some pictures of the giant salmon! Curious how much do they give you to move up there?

While your up there, go find those numb nuts on the Discovery show Alaskan Bush People and slap them around a bit.

Yeah....

I don't get that show either. A bunch of genetically damaged kids and a couple of old hippies always ****ing stuff up..... Don't understand the attraction.
(I do wonder what kind of drugs the mom was on when those kids were in the oven. Some serious banjo boy stuff happening.)

Must be the same crowd that loves Honey Boo Boo.

Also,

I think you will love Alaska. I have worked with a couple of guys who are from there. They are passionate about how great the place is.

(You will NOT miss the ghetto you are getting away from. I will take bears over thugs any day.)

Thanks for all the support... Right now I'm just a little overwhelmed with the Logistics of it. I told my Bosses that I was leaving yesterday, and they where surprisingly supportive and happy for me and my family. I'm just waiting to hear from the relocation folks so they can give me an accurate estimate of when we will expect to pack up and fly out.

Again, if you have any questions, PM me. It is a big deal, but you'll love it. MAKE SURE TO DO ALL THE TOURISTY STUFF WHILE YOU ARE THERE. I lived there for 25 years, and my biggest regret is not getting around and doing more stuff while I was there. The mointains and moose will wear off, eventually, but go to Denali, Chena hot springs, Juneau, take a barge to the Panhandle, drive to Valdez to the Pipeline terminal, go to chocolate factory on Old Seward, climb the Flattop and Bird's point, hike the Crow Pass.
Now you made me really homesick......
