Yeah, my meme game is weak.
Has it really been 10 years?
Hey new guys, let me say something from the perspective of a new-ish guy. I've been here since December of '24. I've been watching this fecal festival unfold for the last couple days and am tired of seeing this crap continue.
New guys on this site have had a bad reputation in the last few years because they come up in here and act like fools. As much disdain as there can be towards the new guys, the folks here aren't going to out you for it straight away unless you give them a reason. I never had a problem getting called names or getting into any runaway threads, because all I had to do was browse the site for a few days and get to know the general consensus that was held by longterm members on a lot of things.
All I got to say now is you blew your one shot. It didn't have to be hard to get people here to get along with you, but here we are. Whether you think the ODT'ers or the GON'ers are the lead instigators in this wreck, the fact is the longer this mess proliferates, the less likely is each side is find any sort of common ground. Arguing with the old timers on here ain't gonna get anybody anywhere.
There's my word, from another new guy, that didn't make an initiation by fire situation for himself, by simply sitting down, shutting up, and taking two seconds to learn his way around the site...

Here’s the truth. None of us care about this place or any of you. We’re just having fun. We don’t care about being accepted here. None of you have anything we want or need. The fact that y’all are getting the vapors about it is cracking us up.

I participated so as to offer a perspective that had not been offered yet, which was clearly not well received, so I'll take the fall for having a lack of foresight there.
In the meantime I'm out of this thread as soon as I joined in, as you have reminded me that I have many more productive things to do with my time than fuel the fire of arguing with strangers on the internet who joined a website just to be a troll and a nuisance.
It's 11, dammit... 😂
