I had an awesome experience with Glock today, their customer service, and product warranty. So I was really bummed when my G19 started messing up. Slide wouldn't lock back, Failing to feed properly every time, recoil spring really jumpy and not smooth...no idea what the problem was. Gave her a good cleaning before taking her to the doc and she still wasn't feeling well.

The armorer looked at it in the waiting room with me and could obviously feel that the recoil spring was rough and that the slide wouldn't lock back.
Upon further examination in the back, he noticed that I had broken a 1/4 inch off the "U" locking block piece one the lower. He had never seen one of these problems. The 1/4 inch piece had actually lodged itself below the recoil spring into the depression of the gun where the serial # and the plastic meet...this piece was sticking out and actually scratching and catching the recoil spring causing many/all of the problems. Very weird!

So they replaced the locking block, recoil spring, and slide stop lever...all for free! My G19 is now healthy and functioning beautifully. I'm so happy with service and to have my baby back.
:cool-new:

This is why I always keep at least one around ....................... Good for you sir!

There was a guy who walked in behind me. He reloads his own ammo and usually does some hot rounds he said loading 180 grain and 230ish...The armorer came from the back with just the barrel in hand. The barrel had bulged and there was a huge "cut" ring in the middle of the barrel where a bullet shot and lodged itself...when the next round came through it thankfully cleared the barrel and not split it...but not before the damage was done. I got to look down that barrel and I hope I never have to see that sort of damage again, especially on any of my own sidearms.

That sort of damage was not covered under warranty...$125 out the door

I really like hearing of good customer service from local companies. It really makes me want to do business with Glock. I don't own a Glock, but am more likely to buy own after hearing this. Yep, one of the very few who doesn't own a Glock.
