Hopefully the "no injuries" being reported by DCPD is correct. My initial thought was not "we're screwed" but that hopefully no kids were hurt. Might just be the father in me but presumably that was everyone's first thought...

My daughter goes to a Decatur school...not my first thought either. Not her school, but I did'nt find that out for a couple minutes.

I have a 6 year old and an 8 year old in school up in Chattanooga. Stories like this make my heart sink. They already had a bomb threat last year that terrified them.

Just heard on the news that the shooter claimed he didn't want to hurt anyone, he just wanted to talk to police.

I hope that not true, that's just dumb.

Too bad they didn't just shoot him anyway. I can't even begin to tell you how much of a **** I don't give about whatever this asshole wanted to say with his 15min of fame with the police. Do the world a favor and remove him from the earth so we can all get on with our lives.
