Works better than any curfew.

Saw all I needed to see in Charleston and N. Charleston after Hugo. People turn into animals really quick when there is no potable water and ice is $20 (1989 dollars) for 8lbs. Government is never shown to be more worthless than during a crisis.

My cousin lives outside New Orleans. He told me when Katrina hit, his neighborhood was an armed camp. Patrols were out and if you didn't live there, you better not be there.

People these days are lulled into a false sense of security with internet, starbucks, the cops only a phone call away and always wanting to be served and catered to. There's a fine line between civilized and savage and in a crisis there's even less of a line. This is a good reminder to always be prepared ,armed and self sufficient.Good article.
