Paula Deen's is always crowded with a waiting line. But if you tell the door man you just want to go to the bar for a drink he will let you in. I believe the bar is on the third floor. You can order drinks and food in the bar and skip right past those waiting for a restaurant table.

Naw the Pink House hands down. Bring a bottle of wine for staff to chill for you and then have a horse drawn carriage booked to pick you up after dinner at the front door while you all enjoy your wine and see the city.

Pink House is great but they had a fire in December and just reopened so make reservations. Any of the non-chain restaurants are worth trying.

If you have on demand look up Season 7 episode 5 of man v. food. I have eaten at The Crab Shack on Tybee which is about 15 miles outside of Savannah. The sampler is my favorite.
