I’m reading super cheesy pulp fiction right now.

ETA - Last book I finished before this was Hombre by Elmore Leopard. You can buy a bundle of his Westerns in one purchase.

Nice!
I’ve never heard of Elmore Leonard but he has a solid library and some great movies and tv shows have been based off of his books. I’m definitely going to check out some of his books.

I’ve got a bundle of Louis L’Amour books waiting for me after I finish up my current read.

I love the westerns by Louis L’Amour !!
My father got me hung on the: when he was alive. He read more than anyone I ever saw ! Always had a paperback book in his hands ! If he wasn’t reading it was working crosswords. I come by it honestly I guess !! 😆

Elmore Leonard started off with Westerns and then moved onto to novels that involved criminals and heists. They’re all very readable.

I remember staying with my brother when I was a teenager. He didn’t have a television or anything. He’d go to work and I would read Louis L’Amour novels.

Thanks for the heads up!

I checked the Wiki page on Leonard. I had no clue he wrote 3:10 to Yuma (one of my favorite western movies) as well the books that would later become the movies “Get Shorty”, “Jackie Brown” and the tv show “Justified”.

Next time I hit the second hand bookstore I’ll be looking for his books.
