What caused this?

shed hunting at Clybel and came across this hog skull. I don't believe it died from this as it was on the mend, unless infection set in.

Might of been one that got away from my Rambo knife last year when I was hunting out there, it slipped out of my choke hold. OK, I only wish I were that studly and that's how I hunted!!!
