Chuck Noriss karate chopped him in the head when he charged him. Dropped him dead in his tracks.

This was the results of a lighting strike, they are very prone to lighting strikes when it's raining.
It's very similar to what happen to the 323 rain deer in Sweden I think it was.

Almost looks like a 3 blade broad head skipped across its head.

Skipped might not have been the best terminology, lol, I have skinned deer that had similar wounds to the shoulder. Didn't notice the skull was pushed inward in the original pics though. That thing looks clubbed!
