What cell phone carrier do you have and how much do you pay?

Pretty straight forward, I am shopping for a new carrier for my wife and I.
Currently we have verizon, 2 lines with 16gb combined, and pay $160 (with a 20% work discount).

What do you have, how much is it, do you recommend?

Total wireless, using Verizon CDMA Tower Coverage

$80 month for 3 unlimited talk and text lines with 20 gigs data

2 lines with 15gb data is like $50 a month

We all have iPhones that we switched over from Verizon. They were owned freeand clear

After being with Verizon for 15+ years, and $45K later, I switched to Metro. Went from $230/month to $100/month, 4 lines, unlimited. Coverage about 95% as good, for about 40% of the cost.

I heard it’s harder to buy phones now, most are added into each month. That they don’t do the specials no more where if you have it then you get a new phone for a lot less. I can’t see spending $600-$800 on a phone. My 6S was like $225 new but I’ll never get that anymore

You paid for it in the old plans as the plan rates were much higher. I did the analysis on this for ATT next vs the old contract plan. Cheaper to go next even with the price of the phone in there.

Club Cellular - Flex 250 Plan (250 min. talk, Unlimited Text, 500mb Data.) $26.11/mo. Uses Verizon. Most I have ever used in past 2 years: 14 min. talk, 4 text and 52mb data. I use an iPhone 5C.

Cricket , $35 a month , with autopay, 5gigs data and unlimited everything else.. uses AT&T

This, except I have 9 lines and pay $25/per line. I was with ATT for years. Switched to Cricket, bill went to $225/mo with no surprises and haven't noticed any difference in service whatsoever. Also got off the iPhone treadmill and am using the $39 Motorola they gave me and it does everything I need a phone to do. Positive experience all the way around. The Cricket store on Holcomb Bridge Road was great - owned by a father and son and the service was awesome.

Have had Verizon for over 10 years and have always been very happy with them. One of the few times in life I hit at the perfect time and upgraded my phone years ago when the Galaxy S4 was free to upgrade if I did another 2 year contract. Just a few months after that they eliminated contracts and started charging for every single phone! My wife refuses to get a smart phone so we have the basic phone discount and I only have 250 mb data plan (only use data when home on wifi) so our bills only about $70 mo. They've even notified me twice when my bill was able to be lowered, and I actually got more with my plan to boot!
