What did you do to better your prep today?

Go to the bakery at WalMart. They throw away thier used icing/flour buckets. Several times I've stoipped in and asked and they have given me 5 gallon round or more often, 3 gallon square ones with lids for free. Usually they rinse them pretty well but I always wash and disinfect them just to be sure. The square ones hold less in bulk but hold vacuum sealer meal bags better due to the shape.

This is awesome, I'm gonna need to do this. I've heard it suggested but never tried.

This week:
Split some more wood
Picked up fresh 20x1gal of spring water at Kroger $.50 ea!
10 candles at Wally World $.11 ea (all they had left)
Another pack of TP
Worked on my inventory list
Took my 4 yo exploring in my local woods for some recon and beginning bushcraft for her. How to step, where to step, tracking - plus a picnic!
Bottled a batch of beer :D

Putting a new tin roof on my cinder block barn, I call it the barracks. Wood burning stove and the large shelves could be bunks. I'm in the country n I think there is strength in numbers. I have some friends that wouldn't want to stay near the city and I kinda live in a bug out location. Lake, stream. Hunting woods and defensible position.

Sounds like you had a great week. I caution you that if the water is in milk jug-type containers it won't have much of a shelf life. I have stocked up on water in those containers before only to go back six months later and find they had leaked out where they were sitting. Water that comes in completely clear bottles is the best solution for storing water long term.
