What did you do to better your prep today?

It never ceases to amaze me what a condescending A**HOLE you are! Even IF you ever made a good point, which I've only seen minor scraps of, you're incapable of doing it without trying to make everyone else feel inferior. You must have a very fragile and overinflated ego. Sad. Well, get out there and run boy, cause as they say- you can run, but you'll just die tired! ;)
Not trying to be condescending, its the truth. A whole lotta folks neglect what really matters, and that is their body. Buckets of food, and cans of water are great, but don't substitute for a healthy lifestyle. All the preparedness in the world means nothing if you are suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or are obese. I would liken it to folks that have lots of defensive firearms and have never taken a defensive training class. If you feel inferior as a result of my post I'm sorry, but that isn't my fault. Don't underestimate how important it is to do preventive maintenance on your body.
An A-hole, c'mon, I even changed my avatar to something less offensive. :D

You're right though, I am amazing!

A legend in your own mind.

Try to keep this thread on topic guys. If you want to have a we-we measuring contest then take it to the boiler room.
I was just paraphrasing Vman, I never cease to amaze him. :D

Lets keep this on topic though, its a great thread.

I do like the idea of purchasing a case of whisky for bartering purposes...good idea.

I've been working out and taking care of myself for over 20 years and firmly believe people are their own worst enemies when it comes to their own health and well being. However, MOST of the reply from you are condescending, no getting around that. It's too bad you can't just offer advice without trying to make others feel less than you THINK you are. :(

I really need to get my act together and start stockpiling. I've always wanted to know, what is bottled water shelf life? Sure they have expiration dates, but how long till it's unsafe to drink?

Good idea, I'm sure you could trade a bottle of whiskey for a truck load of lettuce after SHTF> :)

Not today but this Christmas I gave my son and son-in-law bug out/emergency backpacks as their presents. Spent over 100$ each stocking them (didn't really go as far as you might think) and told them to top the bags off as they see fit. A very practical present that they both seemed to appreciate.
