Don't even think about it. When my kids were learning to drive I made them a deal, if they always buckled, so would I. Got into the habit, Never got out.

I always wore a helmet ,even if it was a skullcap type

Almost always wore boots . If not boots ,then it was high top shoes.

Always wore jeans or better .

Most of the time I wore a thick Jean jacket or a leather jacket .

Always wear eyewear too.

I can appreciate that. The older I get, it seems the more gear I wear. I suppose if I live to 100 I should be about bullet proof. I am going broke trying to find the "right" gear.

I could be tempted to remove the helmet in states that don't require them, but here in Georgia I always wear protective gear head to toe.
