Good suggestion. But again make sure to double wrap it or put it inside a mouse/rat proof container. My wife packed a jjice bag for my middle youngun before we moved down here. Ashley repacked it and for some reason did away with the extra food packaging. Not long after that it was screwed all the way up by at least one mouse.

I keep some of these along with some freeze dried food pouches. I read MRE don't do well in extreme heat for too long

lifeboat rations are required to be good for 5 years on a boat...better really like coconut...

I keep my weapons for getting back home in my vehicle and change out the ammo regularly but I was wondering what sort of food stuffs can be kept in a get home bag that can be left in the car for months at the time in all sorts of temperature extremes.

Anything light weight, high protein and something that stores for awhile in your vehicle
