"Jimmy's Barber Shop" on Dixie Street about a block from the Lockheed plant (Dixie is parallel to Atlanta Road on the east side of the railroad tracks).
When I retired from the service in 2000 and started with Lockheed I saw his shop coming out of work one day and stopped in.
- Old timer, hard of hearing and mumbles a bit - but a great guy.
- Haircut is $9.
- Cash only, no machine to take a credit card.
- After my 1st haircut I said to Jimmy "Do you have a card that I can have to call for an appointment?" He said ""Don't do appointments."
-- I followed up with: "Can I have your phone number so I could call from work to see if there's a short line?" He said "Ain't got no phone."
I've been going to him since 2000 and still have both ears.
Cheers . . .
