What happened to the Barbers?

Ginos in Dunwoody is great. I am actually going to get my hair cut at Master Barber in Suwanee/Duluth today. I get a great haircut there. All scissors hot lather on the neck with a straight razor if requested as well as witch hazel to stop any itching. Im fine paying 20 for a haircut at a barber because it beats the pants off of great clips or sports cuts. Those places focus on how many people they can get in and out of their chair in 30 minutes while the two I go to make it a priority to keep you in the chair for at least 30 getting everything right.

Last time I got a haircut you could still get one at one place in town for three bucks. Old guy. If he dropped the comb might take him a few minutes to get down to pick it up.

I picked up a trimmer set a few years ago and my wife has been cutting my hair ever since. It would be different if I had a "style" but I've always kept my hair short so it's quick and easy.

barbershops are dead

great clips and what not is out there, they do a good enough job. its hard to compete when your overhead is stupid high. im betting there are more barbers in smaller towns also.

for me anyhow, i cut my own hair. number 3 all the way over, get a buddy to edge up my neck line, wait a month or so, do it all over again
