What have I done...My '76 TA

The main man on Pontiac engines is resting in peace now but he ran a small clinic on his property. I can't for the life of me remember his name but he had been blending and porting heads for 40 years. If you can get a hold of one of his students that's your best bet if you want to improve on what you have. I mean you have a 455 and one HP per cubic inch shouldn't be out out the realm. You would have to take the heads of and send them out but it would be worth every penny if you find the right student of the man I am talking about. The did a episode on him on HP TV and used his heads on a test motor. You might be able to find it on Power Nation TV. I hate to keep bringing it up but with that big block a set of 4.11 gears would do more than anything else would at this point since you already have a worked motor. I would install a new front and rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, water neck and water pump gasket and leave the motor alone and go straight to to the rear differential.
