What have you reloaded today?

There has to be a step or trick you are missing or something. Looks like there may be something on the bullets keeping the coat from sticking ?? Maybe ? Unless that’s how they supposed to look - Idk - I have no experience with it. I just size and lube after I cast.
from what I have read the issue is the harbor freight powder. it is difficult to get it to stick. I'm just starting to PC cast bullets but bought powder from the guy on Cast Boolits (Smoke). That and eastwood are the go to powders from what I could find so decided to start with that.

I’m sure you will figure it out….there has to be someone who has ran into the same thing before out there that will give you the answer. It seems like there should be anyway ! lol.
I am going to be checking back to see from time to time. I am curious even though I don’t powder coat or anything. lol. Good luck with it !

here are some orange i did a week or two ago. From the smoke guy on CB forum. This was on some old 44 mag bullets I was going to toss into the pot to recast so could have been pretty "dirty" as I've had them for a year or two in a box.

put them on foil and around 400 degrees for 15 minutes just to see how it works. For a first attempt they looked pretty good. i'll probably lower the temp and go longer and use a silicon matt or the parchment paper next time. The foil stuck to the bullets more than I had expected.

I picked up a couple of colors of the PC off the forum guy, hopefully will be able to start casting in the next couple of weeks after the end of the school year stuff slows down a bit more.

Got my Eastwood ford blue and tried some 45 colt 325 grain. Two coats and it looks good. Had one flub, bullet melted 😳. I am gonna keep experimenting.

Reloaded 40 rounds of 308 for my "new" Winchester M1 Garand in 308. Visited CMP two weeks ago. Couldn't resist. Fun rifle. Seems like my M118LR stash is a bit heavy for it. Worked fine and grouped decent. But would rather have a lighter load for this old receiver.
So, I loaded up some 150gr Hornady 3037's on top of 40 to 42 grains of IMR 4064 @2.700. Hornady Match brass and Tula primer. It seemed to like 40.3grn the best. Will do it again and try higher round count in the 40.3 ish range to see if initial results hold.

Love the ping :)

Load details in MY rifle.. Not a recommendation. Use at your own risk.. be smart. Start low.. work it up.

Finished up 500 rounds of 124gr 9mm with 3.6 of Titegroup. Makes for a soft shooting range ammo. Been a little while and took me a few minutes to get in the groove with the LNL AP.
