Good question.
My hope is that if something were to ever happen, it wouldn't be something that shuts EVERYTHING down all at once... Hopefully there might be some services working at least part of the time.
I mean, other than a solar flare taking out our power and communications grid, or a nuclear attack taking out several key US cities... I can't imagine what it would take to cause a complete national infrastructure failure...
I'd be screwed, don't have much at the house, got a little creek in the back though. But their is also 6 of us and a dog, that's a lot to take care of
