What is the "Biggest-Baddest" HAND GUN out there? ((LOOKS LIKE THE 500 IS THE MOST))

S&W 500 is the only hand gun I have shot that the longer the barrel, the harder the kick and recoil. Usually the heavier the gun=less recoil. Not with this beast, longer barrel just uses more of the powder and develops significantly more pressure. 4" has a strong recoil, but compared to the 8"+ it is more like a push. A really big push lol

never shot a 500 ,but i love my desert eagle 50AE

If you would consider a T/C single shot pistol, here is my take. I have the Encore with a 460 S&W barrel. It is far more recoil than the .454 casull in either the Taurus Raging Bull or out of the 460 barrel. That thing was the hardest kicking thing I have ever shot. I am 6'2, 245 and I shoot it with shooting gloves. I am considering selling the barrel because it isn't any fun to shoot (accuracy hasn't been as good as I want either and developing an accurate load isn't desirable with the recoil). I then tried a friends .375 JDJ in the Contender. The 460 is no longer the hardest kicking pistol I have ever shot. I REALLY didn't like the recoil on that thing and I shot it with gloves on. I can't imagine shooting that more than 1 or 2 rounds at a time. That caliber was developed for the Contender Pistol by J.D. Jones for dangerous game hunting in Africa.

Interesting so you mean to tell me the 8" kicks more than the "snub nose" 500 I shot, makes sense though....wow, that thing must have some UMPH!
